Telehealth Solutions is pleased to announce the launch of a range of new services for the monitoring and assessment of patients with haematological conditions. These services have been developed in partnership with secondary care and provide innovative ways of monitoring patients in their own homes thus reducing the need for hospital outpatient appointments.
Currently we have services available for the assessment and monitoring of the following conditions:
- Chronic Lymphatic Leukaemia (CLL)
- Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance (MGUS)
Each service enables secondary care clinicians, either specialist nurses or haematologists, to monitor patients’ symptoms, signs and blood tests remotely thereby reducing the need for patients to travel to hospital or see their GP. Outpatient and day case treatment can also be scheduled more efficiently with much less risk of patients being sent home shortly after arrival at hospital because they are deemed to be too unwell or unfit for treatment.
More services are planned for the assessment and monitoring of patients with Essential Thrombocytopaenia (ET), Polycythaemia Vera (PV) and Myeloma. In the longer term we hope to develop even more services for patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy for a range of haematological malignancies.
